With Friends

The Practice is spreading it’s wings this month and it feels like a big step in a really special direction for the studio. We’ve invited 3 wonderful women and friends to share their practice with us this month.

Pip Roberts [@piproberts__ on Instagram] is a yoga facilitator, mentor, reiki practitioner, heavy meditator, sound therapist [to name just a few of her many talents!]

Georgie Edwards [@the.knotted.yogi on Instagram] is a yoga teacher bringing this magical and ancient practice to the modern world from her time training in India and her Sri-Lankan roots.

Becca Gayle Phipps [@beccagaylephipps on Instagram] is a yoga teacher and sound healer who’s bringing a beautiful meditation onto The Practice later this month.

We’ll be dropping 2 classes a week throughout April, rather than all at once on the 1st to give you the opportunity to really immerse yourself in each practice as they land. We can’t wait for you to practice with friends this month.

New this month:

lungs ~ with Pip
restorative

Join Pip Roberts for a practice supporting the lungs. If you have been unwell, lying in bed or just generally feeling a little shallow in the breath, this gentle practice will help you create depth, breadth and healing in and for the lungs.

big savasana ~ with Pip
restorative

Our brilliant friend Pip noticed that all the tutorials you tend to find are for the fancy poses! But what about savasana? Seeing as we take this shape in every class, surely it deserves some serious attention. In this class, Pip guides you through a big savasana with different shapes to rest in.

spring into spring ~ with Georgie
vinyasa

We're probably all familiar with that stagnant energy that can build up over the winter and sometimes it can linger so that when spring arrives, we don't always feel ready for that change in energy. This flow is the perfect way to dust off those cobwebs and get ready for the brightness and lightness that's waiting for us.

space within ~ with Georgie
vinyasa

Georgie is guiding us through a vinyasa flow. Lots of adjustments are offered to allow you to make this practice yours. We start with a sense of curiosity in our bodies - can you carry this through the entire practice?

lower body aches
slow flow

Feeling stiff and achey? This lower body practice will help you stretch out tight and tired legs and hips. For days when a full flow is a no-go, or when you just need a focused practice to get the body moving again.

sound healing ~ with Rebecca
meditation

Rebecca guides you through a beautiful sound immersion. This is an audio only class to minimise distraction and can immerse yourself fully in the experience.
