Sun & Moon

June brings with it so much - the true feeling that summer has arrived [here in the UK anyway], the longest day on the 21st as well as International Day of Yoga.

So our intention this month, and the classes as an extension, are all about honouring these events and the energy that they bring with them. The core difference being between what the sun brings and what the moon brings to our practice. Our morning classes are much more energising taking inspiration from the sun and, in contrast, our evening practices are much more grounding in honour of the moon.

It's yin and yang, it's sun and moon, it's energising and calming, it's hopefully just what you need before you set off on your day or settle into your evening.

New this month:

Good Morning ~ with Annie
vinyasa

Join Annie for your wake up call to step into your day with a little more ease and a little more connection. Annie encourages us to really connect inwards in this class so that when we step off the mat we feel a sense of purpose beyond the time spent on the mat - because ultimately, our yoga practice is so much more than just the asana, the physical practice.

Lunar ~ with Pip
restorative

Join Pip for this beautiful Lunar flow. Unlike a solar flow that incorporates lots of sun salutations and energetic movements, this is quite the opposite. Inspired by the moon herself this class will be much quieter and much more reflective - a wonderful exploration and grounding practice.

Morning ~ with Georgie
vinyasa

Join Georgie for a celebration of the sun. We start seated with a few strong, deep breathes focusing in on the fact that our breathe has just the same amount of power in heating our body that movement does. We'll be channelling and honouring our yang energy - lots of fire, lots of heat, lots of fun. Remember childs pose is always there for you if you need it.
