intention: soul of a warrior

I stumbled across a quote last year. I actually shared it on Instagram at the time but I’ve found that it’s really stuck with me, so I decided I would embrace it and explore it a little more.

The words are from Cassandra Clare;
“Whatever you are physically - male or female, strong or weak, ill or healthy - all those things matter less than what your heart contains. If you have the soul of a warrior, you are a warrior. All those other things, they are the glass that contains the lamp, but you are the light inside.”

bio: This is a strong and physical practice but one that's still very much guided by our breath. We're repeating the warrior asanas in this 30 minute flow in the hope that it will bring a little energy to your day, whenever and wherever that may be. A lovely little pick-me-up to turn to instead of brewing another coffee!

bio: We're using the visualisation / body scan technique in this practice to serve as great check in when perhaps you're feeling a little frazzled. This is how it works, but don't worry, I'll guide you through it as we go as well. We start by visualising a light pouring down through the crown of you head, travelling down through the whole body. We notice how each part of the body feels but don't try and change it, just observe it as it is, and then let the light pass by.
