FAQ
I teach yoga - I try not to put labels on it or fix it into a box. My approach is holistic and nurturing, accessible and empowering. Its not about easy or hard, because that looks different for each of us. I think Grace puts it well here:
I come out of Annie’s classes feeling stronger but at the same time more gentle - both on the mat and off.
“Annie’s flows are the perfect mix of thick juicy moving, stretching, and ab shaking planking interspersed with a wonderful sense of calm, focus, and learning - but the best part of it all is that if you chose to just lie flat on the floor for an hour, that would be ok too. You get the feeling that Annie just wants you to “do you” and by doing so, she makes everyone immediately at ease within their practice.
Living in one of the busiest cities in the world, with a hectic job and a busy social life, I can honestly say that Annies teaching has become a safe place to find grounding. Oh, and she doesn’t care if you still can’t do a headstand…..” - Grace
There will be 4 new practices each month, with one of them being yin/restorative.
One of the beautiful things about yoga is that you need very little to practice. I recommend using a non-slip yoga mat. Its also useful to have blocks, a bolster and a strap, but all of these can be substituted for things you already have in your home, like books, a pillow and a belt. When you join, there is a video on the platform all about props and options!
The Practice is a subscription meaning each month you get access to new content, as well as all of the previous videos from months before.
Each month, I will share an intention which will provide the foundation for each of the classes. You’ll then have
+4 new yoga classes (1 yin/restorative)
+1 new meditation
+ monthly Spotify playlists
+ access to the Facebook group to bring the community of yoga to The Practice
Short on time? Choose from a database of shorter practices for when time is tight.
And don’t worry, once a class is shared on The Practice, it stays there - so you can still access your favourite class of January in months (and years) to come!
Just like in a typical yoga class, some modifications will be needed to keep your practice safe and comfortable during pregnancy. I recommend taking a pregnancy yoga class and getting confident with these modifications before practicing, and of course, make sure you have checked with your doctor that yoga is suitable for you.
I really hope to have an additional pregnancy package available in the near future, with specific pregnancy yoga as well as guidance to support you in the other classes so that you can continue your membership to The Practice during this special time in your life.
If you no longer wish to subscribe to the practice, you can cancel your membership at any time. You will continue to have access to all of the content and classes until your current billing cycle ends.
If you have any questions or queries about the studio, your membership or anything else you can email thepractice@annieclarke.com. Myself or my brilliant assistant will get back to you asap. Please remember that we are just regular humans doing our best - we check the inbox daily and will endeavour to resolve any issues.
We check the inbox in UK working hours. If for any reason you haven’t had a response in 2 working days, you can reach out to make sure your email sent :)
