WHAT I’M LISTENING TO

FRIENDS WITH PODCASTS

Whilst prepping for the latest season of the Can We Just Ask podcast I’ve come to realise how much I LOVE listening to podcasts. As we bring the last 2 panel discussions to a close over the next few weeks, I thought I’d share some other podcasts that I’ve been really enjoying recently.  So if you’re looking for something new for your commute, your dog walk, or when you’re cooking dinner I hope there’s something in there for you. Have a peek at the full round up.

WHERE I’VE BEEN

Alchemise yoga retreat - Bali 2020

I have to admit, I’ve been living in a bit of a retreat planning bubble these last few weeks - putting everything in place before I released it into the world. And so here it is:

Alchemise.

It’s going to be a really intimate space and time away from our everyday and a beautiful way to, hopefully, say goodbye to Winter and welcome in the Spring. We will use our practices and time together to take what we know, explore and learn, and create a greater sense of connectedness and wellbeing. There will be guided practices, space for introspection, group sharing, time to explore this beautiful island and so much more. Discover more, take a peek at where we’ll be staying, and perhaps book your space if you feel that’s calling you. I really hope you can join me on this one.

WHAT I’VE SEEN

HOW TO FAIL WITH ELIZABETH DAY…LIVE!

It seems there’s a bit of a podcast theme in this edition of the Mind Body Bowl mood board, but I one of my favourite podcasts and favourite woman Elizabeth Day took How to Fail on tour, and I was lucky enough to visit her in London last month. She stood on stage in an amazing gold suit and told us it was ok to fail (amongst a lot of other things too!) and was joined by former gang leader turned activist, poet, and public speaker; Karl Lokko.  I know she’s got a few more dates left before the tour finishes so if you’re able find yourself a seat at one of her shows. And if you’re not able? Tune into her podcast, open her book, and I’m hopeful that you’ll feel inspired by her and her incredible line up of guests.

WHAT I’M MANIFESTING

Find our flow

Something I’ve really been trying to hold onto over the last month is the idea of flow - the continuous adaptation and growth that I teach others to surrender to. By tuning in, letting go of the expectations we place on ourselves and allow ourselves to lean into what calls us. With the changing of seasons it seems like the appropriate moment to do just that. As the season shifts and the months roll by we can be encouraged to grow, and change, and flow with them, not fight against them. It’s something we can explore most days because, by nature, it’s a continuous evolution and not a destination.

BRAND DISCOVERY

The Lumie Light

Early mornings are made that much harder when you’re getting up before the sun. But, thankfully, they can be made a little more manageable with a Lumie Light - have you heard of them? As the clocks have just been turned back, it seems now ifs a good a time as any to take a moment to look at our sleeping habits. Around a year ago, I invested in a Lumie clock in a bid to give my mornings a bit of calm and mindfulness. I have to stay, discovering the Lumie Bodyclock has been a game-changer! I shared a bit about this on my Instagram page this month as well as on the Lumie website (this was a supported post by Lumie). I’m intrigued to know how you start your mornings?

SUSTAINABILITY SWAP

Who Gives a Crap

A few weeks ago I shared a piece here on the website about how we’re building a sustainable home here in our little corner of East London and mentioned a company called Who Gives a Crap - but I wanted to give them some more airtime here for this months mood board. Who Gives a Crap is a loo paper subscription company with a positive social impact. They’re good for the planet [they’re rolls are made without trees but bamboo instead], good for people [they help build toilets for people who need them], and good for your bum [their tissue is made without any oils, inks, or dyes]. You can buy a one off box or subscribe and save from their recycled or premium range. Pretty great, hey?
